Front of House Manager

Kedron-Wavell

Kedron-Wavell is one of Brisbane’s leading community clubs, delivering exceptional food, beverage and customer experiences to thousands of members and guests every week.

Across our two restaurants, we serve more than 5,000 covers each week, offering the opportunity to lead a large front-of-house team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

We’re looking for an experienced Front of House Manager to join our Food & Beverage Leadership Team.

This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be on the floor during our busiest service periods, leading by example, supporting your team and ensuring every guest receives exceptional service. If you thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoy developing people, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

Working closely with our Executive Chef and reporting to the Operations Manager you’ll lead the front-of-house operations across our restaurants and bars.

This role combines hands-on leadership with commercial responsibility. While you’ll spend much of your time leading service, you’ll also oversee rostering, wage analysis, ordering, stock control, team development and the continuous improvement of our restaurant operations.

No two days are the same. Between busy dining services you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding guest experiences while ensuring the operation runs efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead front-of-house operations across the restaurants and bars.

· Maintain a visible presence on the floor during peak service periods.

· Recruit, coach and develop front-of-house team members.

· Build a positive, accountable and customer-focused team culture.

· Prepare and manage rosters while monitoring wage costs and labour performance.

· Manage ordering and front-of-house inventory.

· Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef and Operations Manager to deliver seamless service.

· Respond to guest feedback and continuously improve the customer experience.

· Support menu launches, beverage promotions and seasonal initiatives.

· Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS and Club procedures.

· Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

About You

You’re an experienced hospitality leader who enjoys the energy of high-volume operations and understands that great service starts with great leadership.

You’re just as comfortable coaching a team during a busy service as you are reviewing labour costs, analysing performance or planning the week’s roster.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

· Experience leading front-of-house operations in a high-volume hospitality venue.

· Strong leadership and people development skills.

· Experience managing rosters, wage costs, ordering and operational budgets.

· A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

· Sound commercial awareness and excellent organisational skills.

· Knowledge of food safety, liquor licensing and workplace health and safety requirements.

Whether you’re an experienced Front of House Manager looking for your next challenge, or an accomplished Restaurant Manager ready to step into a broader leadership role, we’d love to hear from you.

Availability

Hospitality doesn’t operate Monday to Friday—and neither does this role.

You’ll work a rotating roster that includes nights, weekends and public holidays, with a strong expectation that you’ll be present during our busiest trading periods. Great leaders are visible, approachable and lead from the front.

Why Join Kedron-Wavell?

· Lead the front-of-house operations of one of Brisbane’s busiest community club dining operations.

· Be empowered to improve systems, develop your team and influence the guest experience.

· Enjoy genuine career development opportunities within a progressive organisation.

· Large, well-resourced restaurants.

· Stable, community-focused business.

· Competitive salary based on experience.

· Free onsite parking.

If you’re ready to lead a high-performing team and make a genuine impact in one of Brisbane’s leading community clubs, we’d love to hear from you.
