Latrobe City Council is seeking a proactive and customer-focused
Recruitment Officer to join our Human Resources team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced talent acquisition professional to further develop their skills in a supportive environment while partnering with leaders across a wide range of services that directly impact our community.
About The Role
As Recruitment Officer, you will coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities, provide guidance to Hiring Managers, and contribute to innovative recruitment initiatives, reporting, and process improvements. Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Business Partner, you'll gain valuable experience across attraction, selection, onboarding, employer branding, stakeholder engagement, data analysis and workforce initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities across allocated portfolios.
- Support Hiring Managers with practical recruitment advice and guidance to achieve successful hiring outcomes.
- Deliver a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
- Maintain recruitment data and reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Contribute to recruitment process improvements and service enhancements.
- Support recruitment initiatives that strengthen attraction, engagement and workforce outcomes
About You
You are someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and delivering excellent customer service. You are organised, motivated and ready to take the next step in your recruitment career.
You will bring:
- Experience coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities.
- The ability to build trusted relationships with managers and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Sound judgement and problem-solving capability.
- The confidence to interpret and apply recruitment policies, procedures and legislation.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering a positive candidate experience.
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in recruitment, human resources or a related field.
