The Role

We are looking for a confident, compassionate and adaptable Casual Teacher to join our team. If you are seeking a position that offers flexibility and you have a passion for inclusive learning, we want to hear from you.

As a Casual Teacher, you will:

  • Teach Years 7–12 students with diverse and individual needs

  • Deliver flexible, engaging learning programs

  • Support students’ academic and emotional development

  • Maintain student records and write progress reports

  • Apply trauma-informed and inclusive classroom practices

  • Collaborate with staff and contribute to a positive school culture

This is a casual position and is located at Communicare Academy in Kenwick.

About You

You will be a supportive teacher, keen to adapt learning styles for students with diverse and complex needs. In addition, you will have:

  • A current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA)

  • A teaching qualification from an accredited initial teacher education program or from a program recognised by the TRBWA as equivalent

  • Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance

  • Oral and written abilities proficient to the prescribed standard in English

  • Meet the professional standards for teachers at the Graduate level, with expertise in a major and minor field of teaching

  • Demonstrated administration skills including report writing, program development and maintaining student files

  • Proven positive classroom behaviour management

  • Team-oriented mindset and excellent interpersonal skills
