As a key member of the Enterprise Risk team, you'll play an important role in strengthening the organisation's risk maturity and supporting effective risk-informed decision-making across the business. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk, you'll provide Line 2 oversight, challenge, and advice while helping ensure the Risk Management Framework remains effective, practical, and aligned with regulatory expectations.

This is a broad role with exposure across enterprise risk, operational risk, resilience, assurance, risk in change, and regulatory compliance. You'll work closely with business leaders, technology teams, and key stakeholders to embed strong risk practices and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the risk function.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing Line 2 oversight and assurance through targeted reviews, control testing, investigations, and monitoring activities
  • Supporting the delivery of risk appetite reporting, key risk indicators, and insightful reporting for Executive and Board committees
  • Providing practical risk advice on strategic initiatives, operational activities, technology, data, AI, and business change
  • Facilitating risk profiling and Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) workshops across the business
  • Supporting the management of incidents, issues, controls, remediation activities, and risk assessments
  • Driving operational resilience activities including business continuity planning, crisis simulations, business impact assessments, and testing
  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing embedment of APRA requirements including CPS 220 and CPS 230
  • Maintaining and enhancing risk policies, frameworks, methodologies, and supporting tools
  • Partnering with stakeholders to strengthen risk culture, uplift capability, and improve risk maturity across the three lines of defence
  • Contributing to the enhancement of the GRC platform and the quality of risk data used for reporting and decision-making

What sets you up for success

  • 8+ years' experience in enterprise risk, operational risk, or resilience within financial services
  • Strong understanding of Risk Management Frameworks, operational risk practices, and the three lines of defence model
  • Experience facilitating risk assessments, RCSAs, risk profiling workshops, and assurance activities
  • Demonstrated capability in risk appetite, key risk indicators, incident management, issue management, and control testing
  • Experience supporting or implementing APRA prudential standards, including CPS 220 and CPS 230
  • Strong operational resilience or business continuity management experience
  • Ability to provide constructive challenge while maintaining strong business partnerships
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting to leadership forums or committees
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret risk data and provide meaningful insights
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience using risk management systems such as Protecht.ERM or similar platforms
  • Degree qualification in Business, Commerce, or a related discipline
