THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is an established, growing national business in the home improvement and trade services sector, with a proven system, a strong reputation, and a loyal customer base built over decades. As the business expands its NSW operation, they are looking for a State Lead to take full ownership of the Sydney market.

This is a genuine ground-floor opportunity. You will build and run the Sydney operation largely on your own initiative, backed by an experienced Head Office team who take care of administration, stock, and invoicing so you can focus on what matters: winning and converting customers, and delivering a five-star result on every job.

This role is being recruited on a confidential basis. The identity of our client will be shared with candidates who progress to first-round interview.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the customer relationship in NSW from the point a qualified lead is handed over through to a completed, high-quality installation.

Conduct on-site measures and prepare formal quotes for residential and commercial customers.

Coordinate job scheduling with the local installer network and manage day-to-day delivery.

Maintain quality standards across every job, including on-site quality inspections.

Drive local business development — building relationships with real estate agents, hotels, and trade referrers to grow the NSW pipeline.

Lead regular briefings with local installers and represent the business as its face in the NSW market.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

A background in trade, home services, field sales, or operations management, with genuine comfort working autonomously.

Strong customer-facing skills — someone who can build trust quickly and represent a business professionally in a customer's home.

A hands-on, self-starting approach — this role suits someone who wants to build something and grow with it, not settle into a fixed routine.

Comfort managing subcontractors or a small field team, and holding a quality standard without direct daily supervision.

A current driver's licence and willingness to travel daily across the Sydney metro area.

PACKAGE

Base salary

$110,000 – $125,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience

Vehicle

Company branded vehicle provided from day one, available for reasonable personal use

Incentive

Performance incentive to be introduced as NSW volume targets are established
