Woods & Co Recruitment is excited to be recruiting for a Business Development Manager / Relationship Manager with a leading provider of commercial cleaning services that prioritise social impact and community wellbeing. This role is based at our client’s office located in St Kilda Rd, Melbourne. This organisation specialises in working with social and community housing, aged care, disability services, and other sectors where sensitivity and compassion are paramount.

We are thrilled about the opportunity to find a driven and relationship-focused professional who can help expand their footprint across these vital sectors.

Travel will be required both regionally and interstate to support business development efforts and client relationship management across various locations.

What you’ll do

  • Build and manage a sales pipeline across multiple sectors, ensuring accurate forecasting
  • Prospect and cold call decision-makers using research and intelligence provided
  • Conduct email outreach campaigns that generate responses
  • Develop and nurture direct relationships from initial contact to signed contract
  • Represent at industry events, conferences, and sector forums
  • Grow existing clients by expanding into new sites and services
  • Collaborate with marketing to convert campaigns into active conversations
  • Keep the CRM up-to-date with activity, pipeline, and results
  • Bring new opportunities and innovative ideas to leadership
  • Travel regionally and interstate as required to support business growth and client engagement

What we’re looking for

  • Five or more years of successful business development or sales experience with demonstrable results
  • Ideally, experience selling cleaning, facilities management, or services environments
  • Proven track record of building and owning a sales function
  • Discipline to actively manage a pipeline daily and hit targets
  • Ability to build rapport and listen carefully to client needs
  • Clear, honest communication style
