Built on long standing customer relationships, technical expertise and dependable service, we have established a strong reputation throughout Western Australia. We are now seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our Sales division and continue driving sustainable growth across the state.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead our sales operations across metropolitan and regional Western Australia. This is a hands-on leadership role combining commercial strategy with regular customer engagement and direct field coaching.

Your focus will be on developing the capabilities of your team, strengthening key client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities to deliver profitable growth. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in driving the division’s commercial performance while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a geographically dispersed sales team, creating a high performance culture built on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Deliver annual sales and profitability objectives across Western Australia.
• Develop and implement sales strategies that strengthen market share and support long term business growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and industry stakeholders.
• Provide regular field coaching, customer visits and performance support to Area Managers throughout Western Australia.
• Monitor market activity, identify emerging opportunities and provide commercial recommendations to the Managing Director.
• Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management and budgeting to support sound business planning.
• Work closely with Manitou and Kobelco to optimise equipment availability, inventory planning and product opportunities.
• Ensure sales processes, pricing, tenders and customer documentation are managed professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain appropriate commercial governance, including compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, PPSR requirements and relevant legislation.
• Champion workplace health and safety by promoting safe work practices across customer sites, regional travel and daily operations.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring proven leadership experience within heavy equipment, machinery, industrial products or equipment hire.

You Will Also Demonstrate

• A successful track record leading and developing field based sales teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing sales performance, forecasting, budgets and business growth.
• A solid understanding of dealership or equipment hire operations, including machinery lifecycles and asset management.
• The ability to build trusted relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership, communication and coaching skills.
• Confidence making commercial decisions while balancing customer outcomes and business performance.
• A practical, adaptable leadership style with the ability to travel regularly throughout Western Australia.
