A landmark mixed use precinct in the heart of Melbourne's CBD is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager. Take command of building operations across a high rise commercial, hospitality and wellness destination. This is a high profile, hands on role at the centre of a dynamic precinct comprising a boutique hotel, a premium wellness club, commercial office tenancies, coworking space, ground floor retail and a lobby lounge.
You'll be the primary point of accountability for base building services, critical systems, compliance and stakeholder relationships, ensuring the building runs safely, efficiently and to the highest standard every day. Reporting to senior asset management leadership, you'll sit at the intersection of technical building management, risk and safety, tenant relations, and building performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all base building services, plant and critical systems
- Conduct daily building walks and oversee scheduled and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire services
- Maintain familiarity with the BMS and metering dashboards; investigate and escalate consumption anomalies
- Develop and manage a rolling PPM program and ensure statutory compliance, including ESM
- Lead OHS, emergency management and risk processes, inc ECO and contractor compliance
- Act as the primary operations interface for commercial tenants, the hotel operator and the wellness club operator
- Manage tenant fit out approvals, inductions and building communications
- Prepare weekly and monthly building performance reporting, and support the building's NABERS energy and water rating program
- Oversee contractor engagement, work orders and procurement through a CMMS or property management system
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities or building management for a commercial or mixed-use building, ideally within a hotel, wellness, retail and commercial precinct
- Demonstrated experience managing BM systems, metering, alarms and controls
- Working knowledge of vertical transport, mechanical and electrical building services
- Demonstrated OHS management experience, including contractor management, permit-to-work processes, incident reporting and Essential Safety Measures obligations
- Proficiency with a CMMS or property management system
- Strong technical problem-solving, data interpretation and financial awareness across procurement, budgets and cost reporting
- Confident stakeholder management and organisational discipline, with a proactive, safety-first mindset and clear professional communication
