About The Role

This is far more than a traditional estimating role. Working across both

Sales and Production Estimating, you'll enjoy variety, ownership and the opportunity to make a genuine impact on a growing business.

Working closely with our sales, drafting and construction teams, you'll prepare accurate estimates, coordinate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors, and help ensure projects move seamlessly from sales through to construction.

Beyond estimating, you'll have the unique opportunity to help shape the future of Ellerston Homes by establishing estimating systems, streamlining processes and introducing innovative AI-driven technologies. You'll play a key role in building scalable systems that support our ambitious growth plans while improving efficiency, consistency and the overall customer experience.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate sales and production estimates
• Complete take-offs and cost calculations for residential builds
• Review plans, specifications, engineering, and tender documentation
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and completed within required timeframes
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
• Work closely with drafting, sales, and construction teams
• Assist in maintaining estimating systems, databases, and pricing schedules
• Support the business as it continues to grow and evolve

What you will bring

• Certificate IV in Building & Construction (minimum)
• Residential estimating experience
• Strong understanding of residential construction, materials and building codes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• A continuous improvement mindset and enthusiasm for innovation and technology
