Join Our Team as a Hospitality All Rounder!
Location: Maitland, Yorke Peninsula, South Australia
Type: Permanent Part Time (7 permanent catering/cleaning shifts per fortnight + ad-hoc chef shift pickup)
We are looking for a dynamic
Hospitality All Rounder to join our close-knit team at Eldercare Maitland. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys getting involved wherever needed, with responsibilities spanning catering, cleaning, and kitchen operations. While you'll have a regular roster of catering and cleaning shifts, we're seeking a qualified Chef who can confidently step into the kitchen and provide chef coverage when required, ensuring our residents continue to receive high-quality meals and service.

About The Role
Catering
You’ll help bring comfort and joy to residents through food and hospitality. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with meal preparation and plating
- Serving meals and beverages with warmth and care
- Supporting kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
Cleaning
You’ll Play a Vital Role In Maintaining a Safe, Hygienic, And Welcoming Environment For Our Residents. Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- General cleaning of resident rooms, communal areas, kitchens, and laundries
- Supporting infection control and hygiene standards across the facility
- Laundry services where required - ensuring clothes and linens are fresh, clean, and infection-free
Chef
You'll Play An Important Role In Supporting Residents' Wellbeing Through Nutritious, Home-style Meals Prepared With Care And Attention To Their Individual Dietary Needs. Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Preparation of nutritious home-style foods for our residents
- Cater for special diets including texture modified & supplements
- Ensuring all compliance obligations are met, safe food practices, WH&S and cooking for vulnerable persons
- Maintaining adequate standards of hygiene and tidiness in the kitchen and maintaining supplies
What You'll Bring
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Experience in cooking, plus experience in catering or housekeeping services
- Food Safety Supervisor Certification
- Sound knowledge of dietary needs and modified textures
- A cheerful, can-do attitude and great communication skills
- Pride in your presentation and your work
- Flexibility to help cover shifts when teammates need support
