Hays Technology is partnering with a well-established and highly regarded Western Australian organisation to recruit an experienced Applications specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable applications specialist who enjoys solving complex problems, working closely with stakeholders, and supporting a diverse portfolio of enterprise applications.
Your new role
Reporting to the IT Support Team lead, you will play a key role in the ongoing support, optimisation, and enhancement of a broad portfolio of business-critical applications. You'll provide both functional and technical support while helping to ensure applications remain reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, maintain and optimise a portfolio of enterprise applications, including business, HR, workforce management, collaboration and customer-facing platforms.
- Configure and administer applications to meet agreed performance and service standards.
- Coordinate and participate in application upgrades, enhancements and project delivery activities.
- Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Manage incidents and service requests through established IT service management processes.
- Collaborate with software vendors to ensure effective support and issue resolution.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, training materials and user guides.
- Provide broader IT support and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong experience delivering application support services within a corporate environment.
- Experience supporting, administering, or configuring one or more of the following business-critical applications will be highly regarded: Patient Portal SharePoint Employee and Corporate Portals Workforce Management Systems (including Time2Work and QGenda) HRIS Platforms (including iChris and Chris21) Operational and Business Workflow Applications ERP and Financial Management Systems (including Greentree) Occupational Health and Safety Systems (including MyOsh) SaaS and cloud-based business applications
- Proven expertise in application configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades and ongoing maintenance.
- Experience supporting cloud-based and on-premises application environments.
- The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
