Your opportunity
As our Support Worker, you'll work alongside children, families and the wider care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support that promotes wellbeing, participation and independence.
You'll create positive experiences through meaningful activities, provide day-to-day support, maintain safe environments and contribute to quality outcomes through accurate documentation and collaborative teamwork.
With Integrity And Compassion, You Will
- Support children to participate in meaningful activities that promote confidence and wellbeing.
- Provide safe, respectful and person-centred care while maintaining appropriate supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with legislative, funding and organisational requirements.
- Build positive relationships with children, families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Promote safe work practices and contribute to a positive team culture.
What You'll Bring
You are a caring, reliable and enthusiastic support professional who enjoys working alongside children and families to create positive outcomes. You share our values of Integrity, Justice, Compassion and Excellence.
You Will Also Need
- Certificate III in Community Services, Community Welfare or equivalent.
- Current NSW First Aid Certificate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to child safety and person-centred practice.
Ideally, You Will Also Have
- Experience supporting children and young people.
- Experience working within community services.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and community partners.
