Your new company

This is an opportunity to join a high-profile government review program that is delivering critical analysis and recommendations to support future decision-making. Working within a collaborative team of policy, regulatory and subject-matter experts, you will contribute to the development of evidence-based findings, reporting and strategic review outcomes.

These are initial 6-month contract opportunities commencing in August 2026, with a possible extension and flexible remote working arrangements available across Australia.

Your new role

As a Policy Analyst, you will provide research, analysis and report writing support to a multidisciplinary review team. You will be responsible for analysing complex information, synthesising evidence from multiple sources and producing high-quality written products for government audiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research and evidence-gathering activities
  • Reviewing and analysing findings, reports and supporting documentation
  • Synthesising complex information into concise and actionable insights
  • Preparing briefings, discussion papers, summaries and reports
  • Identifying emerging themes, risks and opportunities
  • Supporting the development of findings, recommendations and review outputs
  • Working closely with technical experts and key stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capability
  • Experience synthesising complex information from multiple sources
  • Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
  • Experience preparing briefs, reports, submissions or similar written products
  • The ability to translate technical or complex information into clear and concise language
  • Strong research and information-gathering skills
  • Experience working in government, policy, regulatory or related environments
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes to deadline.
  • Experience supporting reviews, enquiries, evaluations or other time-sensitive projects

Desirable experience includes exposure to regulatory environments, stakeholder engagement, research activities or complex review programs.

Applicants must hold an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance and be Australian citizens.
