Maintenance Planner - (HME Mobile Plant)

Our client partner, a leading ASX Listed Mining Contractor, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join their high-performing maintenance team.

Reporting to the Planning Superintendent, you will play a critical role in ensuring maintenance activities are effectively planned and scheduled to maximise equipment availability, reliability and productivity across a modern mobile mining fleet.

About the Role

Working on an attractive 7 days on / 7 days off roster, you will be responsible for developing detailed maintenance plans, coordinating resources, and ensuring all work is planned safely, efficiently and in accordance with maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed maintenance work plans for planned and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate labour, parts, tooling and equipment to ensure maintenance work can be executed safely and efficiently.
  • Plan and schedule shutdowns, component change-outs and major maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Supervisors, Leading Hands and Operations to optimise equipment availability.
  • Review maintenance backlogs and prioritise work based on operational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and planning documentation within the CMMS.
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance planning processes, equipment reliability and maintenance efficiencies.
  • Ensure all planned work complies with site safety standards and legislative requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally possess:

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Planner within the mining industry.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy mobile mining equipment, including planning preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Experience using SAP CMMS will be highly regarded.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
