Join Manheim Industrial as a Senior Operations Officer and take the next step in your auctioneering career. Based at our Altona North auction site, this full-time role combines operational leadership with hands-on involvement in asset remarketing, project delivery and continuous improvement. You'll support strategic initiatives while managing key activities including asset book-in, photography, inspections and collections across our industrial auctions.
What You'll Do
- Lead auction operations and projects, overseeing asset book-in, inspections, photography, valuations, collections, site safety, and auction delivery across onsite, offsite and online channels.
- Support business growth and buyer development by collaborating with sales teams, contributing to marketing campaigns, auction content creation, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, managing asset viewings, responding to enquiries and complaints, and maintaining strong relationships with buyers, sellers and stakeholders.
- Drive operational excellence through quality assurance, performance monitoring, claims management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage auction administration and remarketing activities, including sale uploads, invoicing, account sales, proposals, documentation and auction readiness.
- Promote a safe and compliant workplace, ensuring adherence to WHS policies and supporting the safe handling, movement and storage of industrial assets and equipment.
What We're Looking For
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with strong decision-making and influencing ability.
- Proven customer service skills, with the ability to analyse complex information and recommend improved practices.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A current Driver's Licence, Forklift Licence, HR Truck Licence and High Risk Work Licence (or equivalent) are essential.
- Experience in a similar role within a medium to large organisation, or significant equivalent experience in a related industry, is highly regarded.
