As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing support to participants, carers and families int he followign ways.
You’ll be doing things like
Evaluating, developing & delivering evidence-based support plans
Creating meaningful goals using a positive behaviour support framework
Building capacity in the people who support our participants, families, carers, friends, support workers
Working alongside a brilliant multidisciplinary team
Championing the reduction (and elimination!) of restrictive practices
And, because we like to keep it real:
This is NOT a stepping stone to becoming a psychologist.
It’s a meaningful, legitimate, highly skilled career all on its own.
About You
You’ll thrive with us if you
Have a degree in OT, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Social Work or similar
Live within a 20 minute radius of either Melton
Have experience reading or creating, implementing or reviewing behaviour support plans
Have a genuine passion for disability support
Have experience working with challenging behaviours
Love working with humans AND are competent with writing reprots (Yes, there will be paperwork)
