POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, the Senior Commissioning and Integration Coordinator will play a key role in planning, coordinating, executing, and documenting commissioning activities across critical data centre infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and operations teams to ensure systems are fully tested, integrated, and operationally ready prior to handover. The role will support all phases of commissioning, including Level 1–5 commissioning activities, Integrated Systems Testing (IST), Operational Readiness Testing (ORT), building tuning, and final handover.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Commissioning Planning & Coordination
- Assist in the development and implementation of project-specific Commissioning Management Plans, Commissioning Programs, and Handover Strategies.
- Coordinate commissioning activities across multiple disciplines to achieve project milestones and critical completion dates.
- Review construction progress and readiness to support commissioning activities.
- Track commissioning progress through digital platforms and reporting tools.
- Facilitate commissioning workshops, readiness reviews, and stakeholder coordination meetings.
Testing & Commissioning Delivery
- Coordinate and witness pre-functional and functional testing activities.
- Monitor and verify Level 1 to Level 5 commissioning activities.
- Support execution of Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and Failure Mode Testing (FMT).
- Coordinate testing under normal, emergency, maintenance, and fault conditions.
- Verify the performance of critical infrastructure systems, including electrical, mechanical, controls, fire, security and communications systems.
Integration & Operational Readiness
- Support development and execution of Integrated Systems Testing procedures.
- Coordinate cross-system interface testing between mechanical, electrical, controls, security, and life safety systems.
- Assist in validating automation sequences and control strategies.
- Support operations teams during operational readiness and training exercises.
- Participate in emergency response and scenario-based testing activities.
Quality & Documentation
- Review commissioning procedures, method statements, ITPs, and test scripts.
- Ensure commissioning records are accurately maintained and closed out.
- Manage commissioning issues, defects, punch lists, and risk registers.
- Review subcontractor commissioning documentation for completeness and compliance.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with client representatives, consultants, independent commissioning agents, facility management teams, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate witness testing and demonstration activities.
- Provide regular progress updates to project and commissioning leadership teams.
- Promote a collaborative and safety-focused culture across all commissioning activities.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3+ years' experience in construction, commissioning, building services, or mission-critical environments.
- Understanding of MEP systems and their interaction within complex facilities.
- Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, control schematics, and sequence of operations documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong planning, organisational, and reporting capabilities.
- Experience working on data centres, hospitals, critical infrastructure, or industrial facilities.
- Exposure to Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning activities.
- Experience with BMS, EPMS, SCADA, or controls systems.
- Familiarity with commissioning management platforms such as CxAlloy.
- Understanding of Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, STACK APAC, or hyperscale commissioning methodologies.
- Knowledge of concurrent commissioning and live operational environments.
