The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for the following:

  • Prepare and review accurate financial statements, statutory accounts and reports.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage reconciliations of key accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities for various departments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and systems.
  • Provide analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Assist with external audits and liaise with auditors as required.

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • Formal qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and principles.
  • Audit experience his highly desirable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
