Through significant investment in research, innovation, digital capability and industry collaboration, the organisation works alongside growers, researchers, government and industry partners to improve productivity, sustainability and long-term economic outcomes across the Australian agricultural sector.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, you will lead the organisation's technology and cyber security function, providing strategic direction across enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, infrastructure, applications, integration, data and cyber security.

This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for translating strategy into delivery, ensuring technology investments create measurable business value while maintaining secure, resilient and future-ready platforms.

Working closely with the CIO and Executive Leadership Team, you will influence enterprise technology decisions, strengthen governance, develop organisational capability and lead a high-performing technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of enterprise technology and cyber security strategy.
• Provide executive advice on technology investment, architecture and emerging technologies.
• Oversee enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud services, integration, data platforms and cyber security.
• Act as the organisation's senior technology security advisor.
• Develop and mature technology governance, policies, standards and compliance frameworks.
• Prepare Board papers, executive briefings and governance reporting.
• Build, mentor and lead a high-performing technology team.
• Foster strong relationships across executive leadership, business stakeholders and external partners.
• Manage technology budgets, procurement, contracts and vendor performance.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement and organisational capability uplift.

About You

You are an accomplished technology executive who combines strategic leadership with deep technical understanding.

You'll bring

• Significant experience leading enterprise ICT and cyber security functions within complex organisations.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, cyber security, infrastructure, integration and modern digital service delivery.
• Experience developing and executing enterprise technology strategy.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
• Experience establishing governance, risk and compliance frameworks.
• Strong commercial acumen, including budget ownership, procurement and vendor management.
• A proven ability to build, coach and inspire high-performing technical teams.
• A collaborative leadership style with the confidence to influence executives and drive organisational change.
