Solutions Architect (Mining)
EACON Mining Technology
We are expanding our team, therefore an exciting opportunity has arisen for Solutions Architect (Mining) to join our EACON family in our Autonomous Haulage operations in Western Australia. This role is on a full time basis and will be responsible for supporting pre-sales solution work for products related to mining autonomous driving and dispatch systems. This role requires understanding of customer requirements, design solutions, and support the BD team in technical communications, tender responses, customer demonstrations, and technical Q&A from the perspectives of mining production, mine planning, autonomous driving, FMS, site operations, and project implementation.
This role is neither a pure research & development role, nor a purely sales role. It is a pre-sales solution specialist role that connects customers, BD, product, technical, and delivery teams. This is a Perth based role with some travel to our site. The role will report to Chief Growth and Business Officer.

- Participate in the preparation of pre-sales materials, technical solutions, tender documents, demonstration materials, and responses to customer questions.
2. Customer Communication and Requirement Translation
- Communicate with the customer’s production, operations, dispatch, planning, safety, and management teams using the language of mining production and mine operations.
- Understand customer pain points and requirements related to production efficiency, safety management, dispatch optimisation, workforce allocation, equipment utilisation, and operational transformation.
- Translate customer requirements into solutions related to autonomous driving, FMS, and mining technology products.
3. FMS and Dispatch System Support
- Be familiar with the core functions and practical application scenarios of Fleet Management Systems.
- Be familiar with or understand related functions such as Digging Guidance and Machine Precision Guidance / High Precision Guidance.
- Understand customer functional requirements for FMS and dispatch systems and translate them into pre-sales solutions or product requirement inputs.
4. Autonomous Driving Efficiency Analysis and Production Transformation Support
- Understand the application scenarios of autonomous mining trucks in open-pit mines, including loading areas, dumping areas, haul roads, intersections, mixed traffic between people and vehicles, exception handling, and production switching.
- Understand the requirements of autonomous driving system deployment for mine site operational readiness.
- Support the assessment of the impact of autonomous driving on production efficiency, haulage organisation, equipment configuration, workforce arrangement, and site processes.
- Support the estimation of autonomous driving production efficiency and work with the customer’s mine planning team to develop an autonomous driving transition plan.
- Understand the impact of factors such as mine planning, road design, dump strategy, loading sequence, and pit progression on autonomous driving solutions.
5. Project Implementation and Change Management Support
- Support the identification of project implementation risks during the pre-sales stage to ensure that the solution is practically feasible for implementation.
- Be familiar with or understand the implementation process of mining technology products, including site surveys, requirement confirmation, system design, testing and verification, training, trial operation, and production transition.
- Understand mine site requirements for MOC change management, risk assessment, SOP updates, JHA/JSA, training certification, and safety management.
- Consider customer site processes, safety requirements, operational readiness, and change management needs in pre-sales solutions.
6. Internal Collaboration
- Work with BD, product, technical, and delivery teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately understood and communicated.
- Help product and technical teams understand the customer’s mining production logic and site operational requirements.
- Support the delivery team in understanding pre-sales commitments, customer expectations, and key project implementation priorities.
