IT Project Manager - Digital & Business Transformation

- Salary: $130,608 + Super
- Location: Sydney, Full time onsite
- 35-Hour Week
- Optional 9-Day Fortnight
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a Sydney-based local government authority embarking on a significant program of digital and business transformation. This role will see you lead a diverse portfolio of technology initiatives that improve services, modernise legacy platforms and support better outcomes for both employees and the wider community.
With a strong pipeline of projects already approved and underway, this is an opportunity to take ownership of meaningful initiatives from planning through to delivery, working closely with business leaders, technology teams and external vendors.
Current and upcoming projects include:
- Enterprise CRM initiatives
- Leisure Centre System Replacement
- Meeting & Governance Platform Implementation
- Enterprise Fileshare Migration
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of digital, technology and business transformation projects
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets and resource requirements
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change requests
- Facilitate project governance and executive reporting
- Build strong relationships across business and technology teams
- Manage vendors and third-party delivery partners
- Ensure successful transition of project outcomes into business-as-usual operations
- Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned activities
About You
You are an experienced Project Manager with a proven ability to deliver technology and transformation projects within complex stakeholder environments.
You will ideally bring:
- Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise technology, digital or transformation projects
- Strong project governance, budgeting and reporting capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience managing vendors and external delivery partners
- Exposure to Microsoft 365, SaaS and enterprise application environments
- Previous local government experience will be highly regarded
- PRINCE2, PMP or similar project management certification
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
