This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile Commonwealth Government review program focused on delivering nationally significant outcomes. Working within a fast-paced and collaborative secretariat environment, you will support senior leaders and contribute to the successful delivery of a major review project. This role offers the chance to engage with senior stakeholders, manage complex priorities and play a key role in supporting governance and executive operations.

Your new role

As the Senior Executive Support Officer, you will provide high-level executive, secretariat and coordination support to senior leaders and review teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing executive workflows, correspondence and shared inboxes
  • Coordinating senior-level meetings, consultations and stakeholder engagements
  • Preparing agendas, meeting packs, briefing materials and supporting documentation
  • Tracking actions, decisions and project milestones
  • Coordinating travel, logistics and event arrangements
  • Maintaining records, registers and filing systems
  • Supporting governance processes and ensuring smooth operational delivery
  • Managing sensitive information with a high degree of discretion and professionalism

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience supporting SES, Deputy Secretary or equivalent senior executives
  • Strong executive support, secretariat or coordination experience within a Commonwealth Government environment
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong written communication skills, including preparing briefs, correspondence and meeting documentation
  • Experience coordinating senior stakeholder meetings and engagements
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Teams, Word and SharePoint
  • The ability to exercise sound judgement, initiative and discretion
  • An Australian Government Baseline Clearance or the ability to obtain one

Experience supporting reviews, enquiries, task forces, governance forums or major projects will be highly regarded.
