Power BI Consultant

CUE-X has a client seeking a Power BI Consultant. To be considered for this role you must be an Australian Citizen and an active AGSVA Clearance is highly desirable.

You will work with stakeholders to transform complex data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making across a range of projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-scale data and analytics initiatives within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key responsibilities include

• Design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Gather and analyse business requirements with stakeholders.
• Develop data models using best practice.
• Develop Power Query (M) transformations and ETL processes.
• Connect Power BI to multiple enterprise data sources.
• Ensure data quality, governance and security are maintained.
• Provide reporting, analytics and insights to support business decision-making.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, business analysts, architects and technical teams.
• Troubleshoot and optimise report performance.
• Deliver documentation and knowledge transfer to clients.

Key Skills & Competencies required

• Demonstrated experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Strong experience with DAX, Power Query (M) and data modelling.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience working with Azure data services, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory or Databricks is highly regarded.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.
• Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary project teams.
