As we continue to expand, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our growing team at our Logan Clinic, located within Logan Central Shopping Centre.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a fast-growing healthcare organisation where no two days are the same. You'll play an important role in creating exceptional patient experiences while supporting our doctors, nurses and leadership team.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our clinic.
You will work in a busy, fast-paced environment and will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service while supporting our clinical team with appointment bookings, patient enquiries and administrative tasks.
This role is based at our Logan Clinic and is initially part-time, with opportunities for additional hours as the clinic continues to grow.
Our clinic currently operates Monday to Friday, with plans to expand to:
- Optional weekend clinics
- Extended weekday trading (up to 6:00 pm on selected evenings)
As we continue to grow, flexibility to support these expanded operating hours will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide a professional and friendly first impression.
- Manage incoming phone calls, emails and in clinic patient enquiries.
- Book, confirm and manage patient appointments.
- Process patient payments and maintain accurate records.
- Support doctors and nurses with daily clinic administration.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with Australian healthcare standards.
- Assist with recalls, reminders and patient follow-up communications.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Support the Practice Manager with general administrative duties.
- Liaise with pharmacies and other healthcare providers where required.
- Contribute to a positive, professional and patient-focused clinic environment.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and workflow efficiencies.
About You

- Previous Medical Reception experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands.
- A calm and professional manner in a busy healthcare environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience using the following systems will be highly regarded:
- Best Practice Premier
- Active Campaign
- HealthEngine
- Microsoft Office 365 (Office, Sharepoint, teams)
- Electronic medical records (Qscript/SafeScript)

Requirements
- Australian Working Rights.
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current driver's licence
- Previous experience in a medical reception role.
