At Mater Education, every student journey begins with a great first impression. We're looking for a passionate, organised and customer-focused Application & Enrolment Officer to help prospective students navigate one of the most important milestones in their education journey.
About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader – Application & Enrolments, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering a seamless, supportive and student-centred application experience. From responding to initial enquiries through to confirming enrolments, you'll provide exceptional service, accurate advice and timely communication that helps students feel confident every step of the way.

Salary range: $78,888 - $87,731 per annum plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doing
As an Application & Enrolment Officer, you'll help ensure every prospective student receives an outstanding experience by:
- Managing end-to-end student applications from initial enquiry through to enrolment.
- Providing accurate information and guidance on courses, entry requirements and enrolment processes.
- Supporting applicants to complete enrolment documentation while ensuring compliance with policies and timelines.
- Monitoring application progress, proactively resolving issues and keeping applicants informed throughout their journey.
- Maintaining accurate student records and ensuring high levels of data integrity across relevant systems.
- Ensuring application and enrolment activities comply with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and the overall student experience.
- Contributing to a collaborative team focused on service excellence and continuous improvement.
- Supporting student events including orientations, open days, school and careers expos, webinars and graduation ceremonies.
- Providing occasional support for out-of-hours or offsite events when required.
About you
You're someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. You have a keen eye for detail, communicate with confidence and enjoy working in a team that's focused on making a positive impact.
You'll also bring:
- Experience in an administrative, customer service or student services environment.
- A strong commitment to delivering a positive, student-centred customer experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and remain organised in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when processing information and maintaining records.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams.
- Experience using Student Management Systems (SMS) and/or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience working within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or education environment.
- Experience in admissions, student administration or enrolment processes.
- Knowledge of government funding programs and compliance requirements within vocational education.
- Qualifications in business administration, customer service or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
