Disability Support Worker – Autism Support, Outer South East Melbourne

Anchor & Aim Support is seeking a warm, reliable, and engaged Support Worker/Mentor to work with a 22-year-old man with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 2). He recently relocated to Australia with his family and would benefit greatly from consistent, genuine companionship alongside practical daily support.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building real connection with the people they support — not just showing up for tasks, but engaging, chatting, playing games, and being a consistent, trusted presence.
What the role involves
- Meaningful social engagement — gaming, watching videos, conversation, humour.
- Support with daily living activities and building independence.
- Community access and participation.
- Establishing routines and structure.
- Building a trusting, consistent relationship over time.
Hours & Pay
Approximately 5–10 hours per day, 5 days per week. Above market rates on offer for the right candidate.
About you
- Experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (essential)
- Patient, warm, socially engaged, and reliable
- Comfortable with gaming/digital entertainment as part of shift activities
- Experience with community access and daily living support
- Tamil or Telugu language skills (Not mandatory though)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and First Aid/CPR (or willing to obtain)
- A genuine, relationship-first approach to support work
