About the Role

In this newly created role, you'll create engaging content across digital and traditional channels, support health promotion campaigns, manage social media platforms, and help share the stories, achievements, and impact of Aboriginal communities across East Arnhem Land and help to increase the visibility of the Miwatj Brand on a National level

What You'll Be Doing

  • Creating content for social media, newsletters, websites, campaigns, and report
  • Translating complex health information into accessible, community-friendly messaging
  • Supporting health promotion and community engagement initiatives
  • Managing social media content planning, scheduling, and engagement
  • Developing internal and external communications, including media releases and stakeholder communication
  • Ensuring communications are culturally appropriate, engaging, and aligned with community priorities and organisational values

About You

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in communications, marketing, media, or a related field
  • Experience managing digital communications and social media platforms
  • Qualifications in Communications, Marketing, or a similar discipline
  • Skills in Canva, Adobe Suite, video, graphic design, or content creation tools
  • A genuine respect for and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities
