Accountant/Bookkeeper (Part Time)

The Accountant/Bookkeeper will be responsible for the following, but not be limited to:
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Process end-to-end payroll, including leave, superannuation, and termination payments.
- Prepare and lodge PAYG, BAS, and IAS in compliance with ATO requirements.
- Reconcile payroll, bank accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Complete month-end and year-end financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and employee payroll data.
- Manage supplier payments, customer invoicing, and credit control.
- Liaise with accountants, auditors, banks, and government agencies.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Work, ATO, and Australian accounting standards.
- Support audits and identify opportunities to improve financial processes.
A successful Part Time Accountant/Bookkeper should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA qualification, or working towards one.
- Experience with Xero, Myob Advanced or another similar ERP
- Exposure to Payroll and dealing in a complex multi-entity environment
- A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Australian tax regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
