Accountant/Bookkeeper (Part Time)

The Accountant/Bookkeeper will be responsible for the following, but not be limited to:

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Process end-to-end payroll, including leave, superannuation, and termination payments.
  • Prepare and lodge PAYG, BAS, and IAS in compliance with ATO requirements.
  • Reconcile payroll, bank accounts, and general ledger accounts.
  • Complete month-end and year-end financial reporting and reconciliations.
  • Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and employee payroll data.
  • Manage supplier payments, customer invoicing, and credit control.
  • Liaise with accountants, auditors, banks, and government agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work, ATO, and Australian accounting standards.
  • Support audits and identify opportunities to improve financial processes.

A successful Part Time Accountant/Bookkeper should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA qualification, or working towards one.
  • Experience with Xero, Myob Advanced or another similar ERP
  • Exposure to Payroll and dealing in a complex multi-entity environment
  • A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Australian tax regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
