Position Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated hospitality professionals. The ideal candidates will have experience in event and hospitality environments, possess excellent customer service skills, and approach challenges with a positive attitude. This role involves working at a variety of corporate and retail events, ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests, ensuring a memorable experience
  • Set up and break down event spaces according to specifications
  • Assist with food and beverage service, including serving food, pouring drinks and clearing tables
  • Ensure all service areas are kept clean and tidy
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies

Requirements

  • Experience in hospitality and/or events
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanour
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and handle pressure
  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
  • Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification

The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) has been an influential force in the direction and development of Australian agriculture through competitions, education and events since its foundation in 1822. The RAS is a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting agricultural development and rural communities in Australia.

The RAS manages the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry and Sydney Showground, which hosts a huge range of events and professional sporting codes including AFL and Cricket.
