About the Role…
Sydney Showground is now recruiting qualified and creative Chefs to join our casual BOH team for corporate and large-scale functions & events.
We are a dynamic and diverse place to work. Whether it’s staging Australia’s largest ticketed event, the Sydney Royal Easter Show, hosting major events and exhibitions at Sydney Showground, or running RAS Foundation or Education programs that support and develop agriculture in Australia. We believe in our mission and values, working with like-minded people and striving for excellence, we dedicate ourselves to becoming the best in our field! It’s not just a job! It’s a strong commitment to supporting, showcasing and celebrating agriculture through competitions, events, and practical financial support.
You Will...
- Have a proven history of being punctual & reliable
- Have superior customer service skills
- Have an ability to make great connections
- Be energetic and committed
- Have an outstanding work ethic and impeccable grooming
- Practice good kitchen hygiene standards in line with the Food Safety Plan
- Be able to work weekdays, weekends and late nights (according to a 7-day rotating event-based roster)
- Be legally entitled to live & work in Australia.
About Us...
The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) has been an influential force in the direction and development of Australian agriculture through competitions, education and events since its foundation in 1822. The RAS is a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting agricultural development and rural communities in Australia.
The RAS manages the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry and Sydney Showground, which hosts a huge range of events and professional sporting codes including AFL and Cricket.
