The Opportunity

Troocoo are partnered with a leading higher education institution to recruit an ICT Procurement Specialist to join a high-performing team on a full-time, permanent basis, located in Brisbane’s Inner suburbs.

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, the Procurement Specialist will partner with key stakeholders across the Information Technology category to lead and deliver end-to-end procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Develop and implement ICT procurement plans and strategic sourcing strategies
  • Lead sourcing activities to establish supply arrangements that meet business needs
  • Conduct market analysis, spend analysis, and commercial risk assessments to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions
  • Lead contract negotiations and review of supply arrangements to deliver value-for-money procurement outcomes
  • Partner with ICT stakeholders, providing high-level advice and guidance to build expertise in procurement, provide governance and improve procurement practice and outcomes
  • Independently draft and execute ICT procurement contracts based on the organisation's specifications and approved templates
  • Work closely with the legal team to identify legal risks associated with ICT procurement activities

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience within an ICT Procurement-focused role is essential
  • Knowledge and experience in conducting both pre-and post-award procurement activities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail with previous experience drafting and executing contract agreements
  • Ability to work within a developing environment
  • Passionate about delivering successful outcomes for stakeholders

Applicants with tertiary education and further training in the procurement industry such as MCIPS will be held in high regard, but previous demonstrable experience is the priority.
