Senior Estimator

People8 has partnered with a well-established commercial and industrial builder to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of high-value Design & Construct tenders while working alongside an experienced pre-construction team—without the responsibility of direct reports.

You'll play a pivotal role in pricing diverse commercial, industrial and mixed-use projects, helping secure future work and contributing to the continued growth of a respected Queensland contractor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive tenders for commercial, industrial and mixed-use Design & Construct projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and documentation to identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering initiatives.
• Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing, negotiate quotations and manage tender clarifications.
• Prepare detailed take-offs, cost plans and tender submissions using estimating software.
• Work closely with the Pre-Construction Manager and project teams to ensure successful tender outcomes.
• Contribute to procurement strategies, budgeting and continuous improvement across the pre-construction function.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within commercial or industrial construction.
• Strong Design & Construct (D&C) estimating experience.
• Experience pricing commercial, industrial or mixed-use construction projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Cubit highly regarded).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively across pre-construction and project delivery teams.
