Our client, a prominent City Council, is undertaking significant enterprise transformation programs focused on replacing legacy systems with modern, customer-centric technologies. These strategic initiatives are designed to enhance business capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and align technology platforms with future service delivery objectives. Working within the Enterprise Business Platforms team, you will contribute to large-scale transformation programs involving Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform technologies, helping deliver innovative digital solutions across the organisation.

Your New Role

As the Data Migration Analyst (Dynamics), you will be responsible for planning, executing, and supporting the migration of critical business data from Oracle and legacy systems into Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments.

Developing comprehensive data migration strategies aligned with project objectives and timelines

Creating detailed data mapping and transformation rules to ensure accurate data migration

Extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data into Dynamics 365 environments

Conducting data validation and quality assurance activities to maintain data integrity and accuracy

Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving data-related issues throughout the migration lifecycle

Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to gather requirements and support project delivery

Producing detailed migration documentation, including mapping specifications, transformation rules, and validation procedures

Coordinating testing activities including unit, system, and user acceptance testing

Providing post-migration support and ensuring successful transition to the new platform

What you will need to succeed

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Data Migration Analyst or in a similar data-focused role

Strong experience delivering Oracle to Microsoft Dynamics 365 migration projects

Advanced SQL and database management skills, particularly within Oracle or similar enterprise databases

Experience delivering complex and/or high-volume data migration initiatives

Strong understanding of ETL processes, data mapping, transformation, and data quality frameworks

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment

Experience working within Agile delivery environments (Scrum preferred)

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) will be highly regarded

Exposure to change management practices within large-scale transformation programs will be advantageous
