The Role
We are seeking a User and Requirements Integration Officer to act as the critical link between Defence users, emerging capability projects and engineering stakeholders. This role focuses on understanding operational needs, clarifying requirements and ensuring proposed solutions remain technically feasible, achievable and aligned with approved scope. You will work closely
with engineers, project teams and user communities to support informed decision-making and successful capability outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage regularly with Defence user communities and project stakeholders to understand evolving capability requirements.
- Support the development, clarification and traceability of user-driven technical requirements.
- Ensure user requirements are aligned with approved capability, engineering and contractual constraints.
- Identify integration, safety, sustainment and technical risks and escalate issues through appropriate
- governance channels.
- Provide user context and requirements advice to engineering and technical teams to support
- decision-making.
About You
- Current AGSVA NV1 security clearance.
- Experience working within Defence capability, engineering, systems integration or project environments.
- Strong ability to analyse requirements and translate operational needs into clear technical outcomes.
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work across user, project and engineering communities.
- Sound judgement and the ability to challenge requirements that are outside approved scope, feasibility or program constraints.
Additional Information
Opportunities are available in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Canberra.
New starters are expected to work on-site at their local Defence location five days per week initially.
Following approximately three months of satisfactory performance, up to 1–2 days of remote work may be available.
Requires a current AGSVA NV1 clearance
