Your new role

Reporting to the Manager Governance and Risk, this role will be responsible for a diverse range of duties within the Governance team. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and effective individual who will provide high-level administrative support services, ensuring compliance with the Town’s governance processes, including top-line customer service for elected members, internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, organisational and negotiation skills, high-level administrative support experience, and a knack for meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work.

Our ideal candidate will have

  • Understanding of the Council meeting procedure and the role of elected members.
  • Experience in preparing agendas and minutes.
  • Knowledge and experience in governance practices and legislative compliance.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Availability to attend evening Council meetings for minute-taking.
