Nova Higher Education is expanding its Adelaide campus and is seeking an experienced and passionate academic to join our team as a Course Coordinator (Business & Hospitality) & Sessional Lecturer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator and industry professional who enjoys inspiring students while contributing to academic leadership and quality higher education. The successful candidate will coordinate units and teach across Business, Hospitality, and Culinary disciplines within the Bachelor of Culinary Arts Business Management.

Your Responsibilities

Coordinate Business, Hospitality, and Culinary units within the Bachelor of Culinary Arts Business Management.

Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, practical kitchen classes (where applicable), and student assessments.

Supervise students in practical hospitality and commercial kitchen environments.

Support curriculum development, assessment moderation, and continuous quality improvement.

Prepare learning resources and maintain accurate academic records within the Learning Management System.

Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and support to students.

Collaborate with academic and professional staff to enhance the student experience.

Ensure compliance with TEQSA, Higher Education Standards, food safety requirements, and Work Health & Safety legislation.

About You

Masters or Equivalent Qualifications in Business, Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, Culinary Arts, or a related discipline (higher qualifications desirable).

Demonstrated industry experience in hospitality, culinary operations, or business management.

Teaching experience in higher education, VET, or industry training is highly regarded.

Excellent communication, organisational, and student engagement skills.

Sound knowledge of commercial hospitality operations, food safety, and quality assurance.

A passion for mentoring students and delivering industry-relevant education.
