The Opportunity

Operating with strong momentum and a substantial pipeline, this privately-owned design and construction firm is already achieving revenues of >$90M. Following this significant market success, our client is now seeking an inaugural Finance Leader to partner with the Founders during their next phase of expansion. Specialising in high-quality, design-led project delivery within the hotel and hospitality sectors, the business is scaling across the ANZ region while maturing its financial operations. This newly created leadership role represents an exceptional opportunity to join a high-performing team and directly influence the strategic direction of a fast-growing business.

The Role

As the first Finance Head within this business, you will take full ownership of the finance operations, implementing systems and processes, providing clear financial insights, robust reporting, and strategic guidance to support business growth. You will work closely with the Directors and other leaders to ensure financial outcomes align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management to support the business through its current growth trajectory.
• Compliance and governance & Financial oversight of contracts.
• Driving efficiency and process improvements.
• Serving as a sounding board to provide the Directors with expert financial advice as the business scales.

About you

Ideally you will bring proven experience in the construction, design, property development, or project-based services sector. You are CA or CPA qualified and comfortable operating as a highly hands on finance professional in a fast-moving environment. You may be a senior CFO/Financial Controller role or this may be your opportunity to step up to this level of role. You combine strong technical and process discipline with commercial acumen and the ability to partner effectively with the Directors and other business leaders in an entrepreneurial environment.
