In this role, you will lead evidence-based planning that shapes the future of sport, recreation and community infrastructure across the City. Working across strategy and delivery, you will translate long-term planning into practical, actionable outcomes that support capital investment, sustainable facility design, and community wellbeing.
This is a unique opportunity to influence how community infrastructure evolves, ensuring facilities are accessible, fit-for-purpose, and responsive to both current and future community needs .
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in urban planning, community infrastructure planning, recreation planning, project management or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience (minimum 5 years) in facility planning within local government or a similar environment.
- Experience in needs assessment, feasibility studies, and capital works planning.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical and research skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports for executive and Council audiences.
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
