We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Business Banking Support Officer to support our team on a 12 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with banking or financial services experience who enjoys building relationships, providing exceptional service and supporting lending and business development activities.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for the Business Banking team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the department while supporting Relationship Managers, Business Development Managers and Business Banking clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a small portfolio of business banking clients
  • Assisting with business lending administration, annual reviews and loan submissions
  • Supporting broker accreditation, commission payments and broker enquiries
  • Handling customer and broker enquiries via phone and email
  • Preparing correspondence, reports and documentation
  • Maintaining accurate referral, pipeline and portfolio reporting
  • Opening accounts, gathering documentation and coordinating customer requests

What You'll Bring

  • Previous customer service experience within banking or financial services
  • Knowledge of banking deposit and lending products, policies and processes
  • Strong organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality outcomes
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet service level expectations
  • Lending experience and an understanding of viable lending proposals would be highly regarded
