Geraldton Hospital is a modern regional facility in Western Australia’s Mid West region, around a one-hour flight from Perth.

About the Role

An opportunity is available for a Consultant/Specialist Intensivist to join a well-established and supportive multidisciplinary team, with scope to contribute to service development, clinical leadership and the ongoing growth of critical care services, while delivering high-quality care to the local community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to the local community.
• Contribute to service development and clinical leadership.
• Participate in the ongoing growth of critical care services.

Qualifications

• Hold FCICM or equivalent.

Required Skills

• First class verbal and written communication skills.
• Personable and collaborative working style.
• Experience within MDT settings.
• Experience in clinical governance initiatives and quality improvement activities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in supervising trainees.
• Participation in quality improvement and research.

Pay range and compensation package

Competitive Salary Package of up to $534k. (Up to $514k from September 2025, then $534k from September 2026). This is inclusive of 12% employer superannuation contributions and a generous professional development allowance. Salary Packaging: Access to salary packaging arrangements up to $19,000 p.a. Generous Leave Entitlements: 4 weeks annual leave, 3 weeks professional development leave, 10 days sick leave, plus other forms of leave for compassionate or cultural reasons. Professional Development allowance of $33k per annum - paid with your salary.
