We are currently seeking a Process Engineer who will play a pivotal role in improving manufacturing and processing performance through process optimisation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across The Midfield Group.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Improve and optimise production processes to increase efficiency, throughput, quality, and reduce waste
  • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics (e.g. output, downtime, yield, OEE) to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support production teams with process troubleshooting and day-to-day operational issues
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and problem-solving tools
  • Support commissioning and optimisation of new equipment and process changes
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and control procedures
  • Work with Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Projects to improve plant performance and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with food safety (HACCP), quality, WHS, and environmental standards
  • Prepare reports and recommendations to support operational decision-making

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

  • Degree qualification in Engineering (Process, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
  • Experience in a Process Engineer or similar role within manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, or industrial environments
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement, problem solving, and operational optimisation
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement practices
