About the Firm

My client is a growing alternative law firm with offices in major cities in Australia and also in New Zealand and London. They act for leading listed and unlisted companies.

They have eliminated time sheets and billable targets and have moved to a 100% fixed fee model. They form long term relationships with clients and become their trusted advisers.

They also have a non-hierarchical structure and treat their lawyers as adults. There is no requirement to come into the office a certain number of days per week, which means you can work from home as little or as much as you would like.

About the Position

My client is seeking a Corporate Lawyer with 8+ years of post-admission experience. In the role, you will work independently on a variety of transactional and corporate work. You will also help develop junior lawyers and support the strategic growth of the Corporate Team.

About You

You are an experienced corporate lawyer who can work independently but also collaborate and work in a team. You will also have a friendly personality with no ego, and can work in a flat non-hierarchical structure. You also work well under pressure in a fast pace and agile environment. As well, you enjoy talking to clients and forming long term relationships with them.

Qualifications

We are seeking someone with:

• 8+ years of post-admission experience
• Experience in corporate and M&A Law, including private mergers and acquisitions, and share and asset sale transactions
• Experience in conducting due diligence, deal structuring, drafting and negotiation commercial documents, completing deals and post-completion.
• Experience in advising on capital raising transactions
• Experience in advising on strategic corporate matters and corporate governance
