Bring your leadership experience, strategic thinking and passion for developing people to a role where you'll influence how claims are delivered across the business. As a Claims Operations Manager, you'll play a key role partnering with our leaders across PRI and Liability Claims in driving operational excellence, strengthening capability and creating better outcomes for customers, partners and our people. You'll lead through change, identify opportunities for improvement and work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver a claims operation that is efficient, customer-focused and ready for the future.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) or Meanjin (Brisbane).
What You'll Do
- Lead operational strategies and initiatives that improve claims performance, customer outcomes and business results.
- Drive continuous improvement across people, processes, technology and partner relationships to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Develop high-performing teams through capability uplift, coaching, workforce planning and learning initiatives.
- Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to influence decisions, align priorities and deliver strategic outcomes.
- Use operational performance insights to identify opportunities, manage risks and support informed decision making.
- Lead change, regulatory initiatives and business improvement programs in a complex and evolving environment.
- Balance customer, commercial and people outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on risk management and operational excellence.
What You'll Bring
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end claims handling process and associated operational drivers.
- Proven experience leading high-performing teams and building capability through coaching and development.
- Demonstrated operational leadership and business management experience in large or complex changing environments.
- Experience developing and delivering operational strategies that drive sustainable business outcomes.
- Strong change leadership skills with experience delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to balance customer, people and commercial priorities while navigating competing demands.
Claims experience is highly desirable, with broader insurance or financial services experience also highly regarded.
