Legal Counsel
Beacon Legal

This is a genuinely broad role offering plenty of variety, high levels of responsibility and the opportunity to work alongside experienced industry leaders in a collaborative and supportive environment.
About the Role
- Advise on the development of renewable energy projects, including EPC, O&M, supply, land, grid connection and power purchase agreements.
- Support project finance transactions, refinancings and lender negotiations.
- Assist with acquisitions, divestments and corporate transactions from due diligence through to completion.
- Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements and support the management of contractor claims and disputes.
- Advise on regulatory, governance and corporate structuring matters.
- Work closely with stakeholders across investment, development, finance, risk and asset management, while managing external counsel where required.
What we're looking for
- Admitted to practise in Australia.
- Around 3-6 years' experience in construction, projects or infrastructure law, gained in private practice or in-house.
- Experience in the energy, renewables or infrastructure sector will be highly regarded.
- Strong technical ability combined with commercial judgement and excellent stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
