Sales Manager - Residential Energy Storage
Location: Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth
A global leader in solar PV and battery energy storage technology, publicly listed and operating in more than 20 countries. As part of their continued growth in Australia, they're strengthening their sales team to expand their installer and distribution network across the residential energy storage market.
This is a high-impact Sales Manager role focused on new business development and territory expansion. You'll be the primary commercial representative in your region, responsible for identifying, developing and onboarding new distributors, installers and resellers, while building long-term channel partnerships that drive real revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect new distributors, installers and reseller partners
- Run outbound sales activity including cold calling, lead generation and door-knocking
- Develop and execute territory plans to hit sales targets
- Onboard and activate new channel partners and manage key accounts
- Deliver product presentations and sales training to installers and distributors
- Support partners on pricing, positioning and competitive differentiation
- Represent the brand at industry events and trade shows
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular market feedback to management
Experience
- Proven experience in outbound sales or business development
- Strong cold-calling, prospecting and lead-generation skills
- Experience selling solar, batteries, or renewable energy products / technology
- Exposure to channel sales, distribution partnerships, or installer networks
- Self-motivated with the drive to hit growth targets
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel within your assigned territory
- Understanding of the Australian energy market
