About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join the firm's Commercial team. Supporting a group of busy lawyers, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice through high-quality administrative and secretarial support.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing exceptional administrative and secretarial support to Partners and lawyers
- Preparing and formatting legal documents, contracts, correspondence and reports
- Managing diaries, appointments and meeting coordination
- Liaising professionally with clients and stakeholders via phone and email
- Opening and closing matters, electronic filing and file management
- Assisting with billing, time entry and finance administration
- Coordinating document execution and settlement requirements where required
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with firm procedures
- Attending team meetings and providing general administrative support
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Administrator within a commercial law environment
- Excellent document formatting and administrative skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Outstanding communication and client service skills
- A proactive, professional and team-focused approach
- Previous experience using Affinity software will be highly regarded
