Business Development Representative (BDR) – AI-Powered Enterprise SaaS

On offer: $75,000 - $90,000 + Super + $110-130k OTE Uncapped

Our client is a rapidly growing Australian SaaS provider specialising in AI-powered workflow automation and data optimisation solutions for corporate clients. Having achieved significant momentum in the market, they are looking to expand their go-to-market team with a strategic, high-energy Business Development Representative (BDR). This role is pivotal in driving their next phase of growth, hunting for new business opportunities, and opening doors across enterprise sectors including BFSI and Government.

About the Role

As a BDR, you won't just be making dials, you will be the strategic engine behind the sales pipeline. Your primary mandate will be dual-focused: executing high-touch, multi-channel outbound campaigns into enterprise accounts, while simultaneously refining outreach playbooks to optimise conversion rates.

You will own the top of the funnel, identifying key stakeholders and mapping complex enterprise organisations to introduce them to the power of AI-driven automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Generation: Drive outbound prospecting campaigns via phone, email, LinkedIn, and video to secure qualified meetings with C-level and Senior IT/Operations executives.
  • Strategic Account Mapping: Research and map complex enterprise targets within highly regulated industries (BFSI & Government), identifying key decision-makers and their operational pain points.
  • Value-Based Discovery: Conduct deep discovery conversations to uncover workflow inefficiencies and position the company's AI-SaaS platform as a critical solution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Account Executives (AEs) and the Marketing team to ensure seamless handoffs and highly targeted Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns.
  • CRM & Pipeline Hygiene: Maintain meticulous data integrity within HubSpot/Salesforce, tracking engagement metrics to constantly refine the outreach strategy.
  • Process Optimisation: Actively contribute to building and refining outbound playbooks, sequence templates, and objection-handling scripts to scale the BDR function.

About You

  • The Pipeline Hunter: You possess an elite work ethic and a resilient mindset. Rejection doesn't slow you down; it just refines your next approach.
  • Enterprise Savvy: You know how to navigate complex organisational structures and speak the language of enterprise stakeholders in corporate environments.
  • Curious & Consultative: You don't just pitch features. You ask smart, incisive questions to understand a prospect's data environment and operational bottlenecks.
  • Coachable & Driven: You thrive in fast-paced SaaS environments and are constantly looking for ways to upskill your sales methodology and tech stack proficiency.

What You’ll Bring

  • 12–24 months of BDR/SDR experience within a B2B SaaS or tech environment (experience with workflow automation, data-heavy software, or AI solutions is a huge plus).
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding qualified meeting/pipeline quotas.
  • Strong multi-channel prospecting skills, with comfort across cold calling, tailored emailing, and social selling.
  • Familiarity with modern sales tech stacks (e.g., Salesforce/HubSpot, Salesloft/Outreach, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).

What’s On Offer

  • $75k–$90k Base + Super + $110k–$130k OTE Uncapped
  • A clear, structured career progression path into end to end roles.
  • Flexible work options balancing remote work with a collaborative Sydney CBD office environment.
  • A high-growth, innovative culture where your wins are celebrated and your input directly shapes the company's growth trajectory.
