Working within a fast paced and collaborative cybersecurity team, you will play a key role in assessing risks, improving security posture and ensuring compliance with Australian Government security frameworks.

Your new role

As the Lead Cyber Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting security risk assessments across a range of ICT environments, including Azure Cloud, legacy systems, AI technologies and other complex platforms. You will develop and review key security documentation, provide expert security advice, engage with technical and non technical stakeholders, and present findings and recommendations to senior executives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting security risk assessments and security reviews
  • Developing and maintaining security documentation and artefacts
  • Providing guidance on PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight requirements
  • Assessing application and system designs from a security perspective
  • Presenting security findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Supporting initiatives to improve organisational security posture
  • Collaborating with project and technical teams to ensure security compliance

What you'll need to succeed

  • Must hold a current NV1 Security Clearance
  • Must be based in Canberra
  • 3-5 years' experience conducting cybersecurity risk assessments within government environments
  • Demonstrated experience assessing Azure Cloud, AI technologies, legacy and complex ICT systems
  • Strong knowledge of PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight frameworks
  • Experience engaging with both technical and non technical stakeholders
  • Ability to present security risks, findings and recommendations to senior executive audiences
  • Strong understanding of networking infrastructure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Azure DevOps will be highly regarded
