Youth Worker to join our team in a permanent part-time position (38 hours per fortnight). This role operates on a rotating roster that includes sleepover and weekend shifts.

As a Youth Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to young people in a residential care setting, helping them develop essential life skills, achieve personal goals, and engage positively with their community. Working closely with a dedicated team, you will contribute to a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment where young people feel valued, respected, and supported to reach their full potential.

The Position

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with young people, placing their interests and well-being at the forefront of all interactions.
  • Provide safe and stable long term accommodation to a young people who are at risk of being homelessness, creating an environment that promotes growth and development.
  • Offer outreach, strengths based and practical support to meet the continuum of care arrangements for young people with complex needs.
  • Assist young people in realising their aspirations and potential, through participating in education, training, and employment services.
  • Assist in case management and planning for young people
  • Support young people in developing independent living skills

You will have an understanding of the special needs of adolescents and trauma-informed care, together with recent experience working with at-risk young people, extensive experience in an area related to youth work and knowledge of the Privacy Legislation and Occupational, Health & Safety Act Regulations.

Successful applicants will hold a minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work or similar, State's Drivers Licence, valid First Aid & CPR and Working with Children Card.

We can offer you

  • Salary: $80,263 to $86,073 (pro rata for part time) plus 12% Superannuation
  • Permanent part-time, working 38 hours per fortnight
