Your new company

We are seeking an experienced ICT Procurement Specialist to support a major ACT Government procurement program. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with strong ACT Government experience to lead complex technology procurements, manage stakeholder engagement, and deliver successful procurement outcomes within a highly visible transformation environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior executives, project teams, legal stakeholders, and vendors to manage end-to-end procurement activities, including procurement strategy, market engagement, tender development, evaluation processes, contract negotiations, and governance requirements. You will play a key role in delivering complex ICT procurements, including Software as a Service (SaaS), enterprise platforms, digital transformation initiatives, cybersecurity solutions, and managed services.

Your new role

• Lead end-to-end ICT procurement activities from planning through to contract execution.
• Develop and manage procurement strategies, business cases, and approach-to-market documentation.
• Prepare and review RFTs, RFQs, evaluation plans, briefing papers, and procurement recommendations.
• Facilitate tender evaluations, market briefings, and supplier engagement activities.
• Ensure compliance with ACT Government procurement legislation, policies, and governance requirements.
• Provide expert procurement advice to senior stakeholders and project teams.
• Manage procurement risks, probity requirements, and contract negotiations.
• Support the delivery of strategic digital and technology projects.
• Build strong relationships across government agencies, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience delivering complex ICT procurements within the ACT Government environment.
• Strong understanding of ACT Government procurement frameworks, policies, and governance requirements.
• Proven experience managing approach-to-market activities and tender evaluations.
• Experience procuring solutions such as SaaS platforms, enterprise applications, cloud services, digital transformation projects, or managed services.
